Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS is releasing shortly in Japan, and in the US at the start of October. With the introduction of the \”New\” 3DS coming to Japan on October 14th, and US in 2015, many wondered about the control capability of Smash with the second analog nub. Super Smash Bros. 3DS will use the second analog nub that comes equipped on the \”New\” 3DS, but what about the Circle Pad Pro?
According to Nintendo of Japan, the Circle Pad Pro will not be compatible with Super Smash Bros 3DS. No reason is given, but it is strange that Circle Pad Pro-compatible games such as Resident Evil: Revelations and Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater will allow for use of the second analog nub that comes on the \”New\” 3DS. This could be one way of Nintendo clearly showing a differencial between the 3DS and \”New\” 3DS to make the gap more of a Game Boy and Game Boy Color-type of upgrade.
