The Entertainment Software Association, the group that puts together E3, has announced that this year’s E3 will be the first in years to allow the public. Roughly 5,000 fans will be given full three-day passes to the convention. The passes will be distributed to the various exhibitors, with the number of passes being roughly proportionate to the size of the booth. On average, each exhibitor will receive 25 E3 badges.
Last year’s E3 had nearly 50,000 attendees. This new public allowance will boost the number of attendees at E3 by roughly 10%. It is unknown how these passes will be distributed among exhibitors.
