Microtransactions are a hot topic in the gaming community. Some games (many free to play games) include this feature and some AAA games use them as well. In fact, Bungie just revealed a few hours ago that microtransactions will be coming to Destiny next week.
DICE, the developer of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront has assured fans that microstransactions will not be making an appearance in the upcoming shooter. Speaking with GameSpot in an interview, Niklas Fegraeus, the Design Director for Star Wars Battlefront said:
Well the currency system is based on your game performance. The credits that you use to buy things in the game are earned. You play the game, complete challenges, and that’s how you get credits
Just by playing, players will be able to unlock all of the game’s content. Star Wars Battlefront launches next month. Later this week, the open beta for the game will be launching.
