GameSpot recently sat down with the developers of The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes, and one of the things they asked producer Eiji Aonuma was whether or not amiibo were ever considered for the game. This he responded to in an interesting way:
That was just a case where the development schedule kind of got in the way. We wanted our focus to be on getting out this multiplayer experience more than considering Amiibo. But we really wanted to, and we’re hoping that, maybe in the future we can try to incorporate that in our Zelda games.
It looks like we just got more evidence that amiibo might be being considered for Zelda Wii U – though of course, it definitely doesn’t sound like anything definite. What do you think? Want to see amiibo in a future Zelda game? How would you want that to work? Wish Triforce Heroes had supported the figurines? Sound off with your thoughts below!
