Minecraft finally made its way to Wii U last December, but it came as a digital-only release. While the game has proven to still be successful, there’s still a pretty sizeable group of consumers who prefer to have physical copies instead of digital ones. Earlier this year, Mojang announced that Wii U edition of Minecraft would be coming to retail stores soon. It was recently revealed that the retail version is set for a June 17th release.
Best Buy and Gamestop currently have pre-orders open. It was announced earlier today that the Wii U exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up would be coming as a free update to owners of the digital version of the game on May 17th. The retail version will come pre-installed with the pack.
