FAST Racing Neo was first announced early in the Wii U’s lifecycle and finally came out towards the end of last year. Coming from the renowned studio of Shin’en, the game boasts some amazing visuals and equally polished gameplay. The developers have made it clear that they intend to keep the game exclusive to the Wii U, and it looks like that even means not bringing it to its upcoming successor.
In an interview with Nintendoomed, the question came up if whether or not FAST Racing Neo would be ported to the NX. Shin’en denied the question, saying:
“For the Wii U we think FAST + DLC is just perfect and certainly one of the best games you could get there. If we would do another FAST game on a new platform we would not simply do a port. We would try to look at the platform to see what could be done beyond the current game.”
There you have it. Shin’en doesn’t want to bring the game over to the NX because they’d much rather create a whole new one. That makes sense, especially considering the fact that they have already stated that they are pleased with the sales of the Wii U version, so there’s no need to double-dip.
Are you looking forward to an all-new FAST for the NX?
