Today, Nintendo issued trademarks for a couple of titles in Europe. One trademark for “Hogan’s Alley”, and the other for “Duck Hunt”. Both are classic games that released on the Nintendo Entertainment System, so these trademarks could be connected to the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service, which was detailed briefly yesterday. The online service was pushed to 2018, but that also extends the free trail period. Nintendo has stated that classic titles will be getting online support added on Switch, so it is possible that these two games may be part of that service.
Duck Hunt online multiplayer anyone? Sounds like a blast.
